Played Chief minister in "Sarkarnama" in 1998. Performed in "Yugpurush: A Man Who Comes Just Once in a Way" in 1998.

झी मराठी' वाहिनीवरील 'जय मल्हार' या लोकप्रिय मालिकेत प्रधानाची भूमिका साकारणारे अभिनेते अतुल अभ्यंकर यांचे बुधवारी पाहाटे हृदयविकाराच्या तीव्र झटक्याने निधन झाले. 'जय मल्हार' मालिकेत त्यांनी साकारलेली प्रधानाची भूमिका प्रेक्षकांच्या पसंतीस उतरली होती. या गुणी कलाकाराच्या अकाली निधनाने मराठी मालिकाविश्वावर शोककळा पसरली आहे. दुपारी त्यांच्या पार्थिवावर दादर स्मशानभूमीत अंत्यसंस्कार करण्यात येणार आहेत.

Yeshwant Deo,Mumbai
Born on 1st November, 1926, Shri Yeshwant Deo is a known figure in Marathi music circles.
He completed his B.Sc. from Mumbai and also got a Sangeet Visharad Degree of Gandharwa Maha Vidyalaya in 1968.
He worked with All India Radio at Dharwar, Nagpur and then Mumbai from 1958 to 1984 as a senior grade producer of light music. He was also considered a popular lyricist at AIR. Other organisations he was associated with are University of Mumbai, S.N.D.T. University, as a music professor and guide.
He has won several awards such as Maharashtra state award for music direction of the play Amrapali (1974). Foreign tours have been undertaken by his group to Ceylon, Singapore, Bangkok, etc.
Yeshwantji has also published books on devotional music of Sai Baba, light music, Marathi Bhav-geets.
